Handmade Cedar Bat House – Double Chamber – Tree or Structure Mount

This handcrafted double-chamber bat house is made from solid cedar and built to provide a safe, long-lasting roosting space for bats while supporting natural pest control. Made by hand in our Smoky Mountain workshop, it features a hand-cut black bat silhouette on the front for a subtle rustic accent.

Inside, two roosting chambers offer shelter and security. Three 2-inch circular openings between the chambers allow bats to move freely and regulate temperature. To help them climb and grip easily, horizontal grooves are cut into the interior surfaces of both the back wall and the center panel.

The front face includes six evenly spaced vent holes near the bottom to encourage airflow and prevent overheating. A 15° angled roof helps shed rainwater, adding to the weather-resistant design.

On the back, the house includes reinforced metal grommets to prevent cedar stripping when screws are used, along with a heavy-duty metal hanger that makes installation fast and secure on trees, poles, or buildings.

Placement Note:
Mount 10–15 feet high on a building, tree, or pole facing southeast if possible, with 6–8 hours of sun. Following local wildlife guidelines improves occupancy and supports healthy bat populations.
